We are shiny and bright.  Our future shall be glorious. Today I’m feeling really lucky to be in the relationship I’m in.  Sure The Big Guy and I get into a tiff here and there, but in general if you were to ask, we never fight.  I never have to leave a show because he’s being a dick, I never have to stay at a friends house to get away from him, I never have to ask him to open my door or pay for dinner.  He surprises me with little gifts, drives me to work, and gets pedicures with me if I ask.  And he’s always making me laugh, how could I not love hanging out with him? …Now, if I could just get rid of his dog.  ;) ps. Marc Johns one of the ‘sketchers’ I fancy is now selling prints!  Not of this sketch in particular but of the ampersand case I love. :)

I snapped some pics of the two Marc Johns pieces the Big Guy got me for my half birthday.  He also included a Blackhawks shirt and a sweet vintage ‘Chicago’ card.  He’s the poo ;)

Jared made my day!!  I walked into work with a package waiting for me, is there a better way to begin any day? ;) I am now the only girl in the world with 2 original drawings from a favorite artist of mine Marc Johns.  My boyfriend, who I affectionately refer to as the Big Guy, likes to do this often.  Even when I was in Chicago he would surprise me with mid-day flowers, coffee mugs, little trinkets we saw over the weekend, random ugly dolls… all kinds of things.  This however tops the list of thoughtful gifts.  He knew how much I loved his drawings and that I would never buy them for myself.  This is “Diamond Soda” but he also got me “The Helpful Tea Cup” :) Seeing “sold” on his website makes my eyes lite up knowing it’s me who has them :)  You can purchase other original artworks here. It’s 5 x 7 unframed, if anyone had framing suggestions they are warmly accepted
