Speaking of letters, I was looking around design is mine and this mysterious letters project gave me goose bumps it’s so sweet :)

“In April 2009, we sent a personal, handwritten letter to each of the 467 households in the small Irish village of Cushendall. We hoped these unsolicited letters would prompt neighbourly discussion, spreading across the town, promoting community curiosity. In November 2009, we sent another bundle of letters, this time 620, to each home in Polish Hill, Pittsburgh, USA.”

It’s incredibly easy in Korea to eat fruits and vegetables at any time. There are fruit and vegetable stands on nearly every corner so there are tons of opportunities to pick up what you need. Most of the time I buy my goodies, snack on them while I’m out or take them home and cook them up. It’s delicious and rather healthy.

Emily has been blogging about her journeys of eating raw and I’ve become more interested since being in Korea. I’ve been following along here and there and I have decided that I’m going to try it*- mainly due to how easy it is here. I feel like I should take advantage of the abundance of cheap raw food while I have the opportunity. I’m going to start by replacing 1 meal a day with a raw meal and move on from there. If I can handle it, I’ll replace 2 meals.

From time to time I’ll update on my progress but I don’t expect it to be anything great until I can replace 2 meals. Wish me luck on getting even to that point. :) If you all have meal suggestions, ways to get around cravings, how to replace coffee, personal experiences- I would love to hear them.

*Since peanut butter, ribs, hot wings, crackers, and ice cream hold a special place in my heart I will probably never replace all 3 meals (or my snacks).

Good call! I think letters are the best… Nothing beats written sentiments, even if they are feelings of hatred. Ha Ha. I love my cell phone company right now for removing a $200 fee someone else incurred but I hope you have luck with yours.

Good Morning :)

This Seoul shaped egg looks like it took time and effort! Without being exact I live at the little dark bubble, about 2 inches to the left of the yolk. Below that almond shaped piece (Yeouido Island) slightly to the left, in Guro-gu… ha ha. I’m not so good at descriptive directions ;)

But the Big Guy left Seoul this morning and it was pretty rough.

I was just getting used being a long distance girlfriend, to him not being around, skyping, getting and sending things in the mail and now I feel like I have to start all over again. Long distance relationships aren’t all that difficult when both people are in it to win it so to speak… it’s seeing the person again then having to leave them that crushes you. It’s not even a year for us and it’s unpleasant, I don’t know how so many people do it for an extended period of time.

On the bright side as Nadine said, there is lot to look forward to and the weather will be nice soon. He’s a stellar boyfriend and I know we’ll get in the swing of things again. :)

Since the weather here is horribly dark and gloomy I had a few of my favorite things (in excess) to cheer myself up: a latte, a doughnut, a plain blueberry waffle, soondae for lunch, another coffee, some tumblr time, and if all goes well a manicure, a visit to the gym, and a LOST marathon.

After Jared and I found my camera we treated ourselves to Krispy Kreme :) I got a coffee creme filled doughnut and Jared enjoyed the original. We also sipped on some lattes while we looked at pictures and talked about how great Koreans are for returning a camera found in a subway station :)

Yum~!

The Big Guy brought Dunkin for everyone at work this morning :) The weirdest doughnut I have ever tried was glazed, with white chocolate topping, then sprinkled with pop rocks! It was quite the surprise in my mouth and rather weird with the doughnut.
