Walking to work this morning I could see everyone on their cell phones streaming the Olympics LIVE waiting for Kim Yu-na come skate.  She finally come on and everyone at school stopped what they were doing to watch her skate.  It was sorta moving to see how everyone feels about her, Koreans have so much pride in general and it was humbling to see their faces as they watched her.

There was silence as we waited for her scores and they jumping and cheering once they came out!   Kim Yu-na took first place in the short program of the 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics!!  This Polly-pocket sized 20 year old rocked Korea’s world today, setting a world record of 78.50 points which is 4.72 points more than Mao Asada of Japan, her arch rival!!
