In Korea Nov. 11th is Pepero Day. So, Happy Pepero Day everyone. :) They celebrate giving people they care about this long skinny cookie dipped in chocolate.

What I’ve been told is that Pepero Day began in Busan when some middle school girls started exchanging the snack with the wish that they would become “as tall and slender as a Pepero”.  The more widely accepted reason for the holiday is that is that it was someones job to market this snack.  So he decided to make it a National HOliday! Ha! And he chose November 11 when written out 11/11, it looks like 4 Pepero sticks. Now that’s marketing if you ask me!
