I’m tired already

but

It’s always fun to talk about yourself but more importantly I realized 1. I need to update my ‘about me’ me 2. that I’ve never asked someone to get off my lawn, it makes me wonder if I’d do it myself or be coy about it and have some official do it.  I’ve never called the cops on the neighbors either. and 3. that if you were on my lawn I’d assume you were lost not curious. Hmm.

I like the way you asked though, you left room for the response to be very open-ended and up for anything.  Since you asked as such, I’m guessing my dislike for black pens and noodle salads in my ‘about me’ didn’t tell you enough.

So let’s start there.  I like blue pens because I like seeing a bright color on paper, plus if you dry them in your jeans on accident it’s not a total disaster.  Noodle salads to me, are just strange… cook the noodles just to cool them? What? then add mayo and some medley of veggies.  It’s just not for me.

I wear dresses in the winter because I haven’t fully grasped the fad of packing up your summer clothes for a season just to unpack them again later.  Being from Florida it’s foreign to me, so I throw on my leggings and boots with my summer dresses and layer up the sweaters and scarves.

Which brings me to part of your question… I’m from Boca Raton. Sometime between getting my license and applying for college I decided I didn’t want to be there anymore.  I always loved the city, and the cold, which actually was the reason I started reading your blog, and I heard Chicago had a ‘Midwest Smile.’ It reeled me in.

I’ve always considered myself more of a Lent girl than a New Years Resolution girl… perhaps it’s because I’m fickle or maybe I just realize that keeping any promise for a year is terribly difficult.  I know this doesn’t line up with what I just said but I consider myself very loyal. I have a hard time giving things up and making decisions where everyone is not favored equally.

I’m rummaging trying to find a better word than fickle.  The word I’m looking for, if there is an all inclusive word, would mean that everything deserves an adequate amount of time and effort before you give up on it without feeling bad that you did.

I also like dogs, but not drooly disobedient dogs, playful bouncy dogs that know when not to  beg and how to sit.  I’m not a crossword doer or a bored eater, I tend to over punctuate, I like the results of exercising but not the effort, I try not to complain about things and I try to be on time.  I work Tuesday-Saturday, 11 hours a day, in heels at a hotel.  I’m studying for the GRE because I think I’d like to get a Masters in Nursing and try to put my Bachelors in Biology to use.  But that might just be my family talking not me telling you what I’d like to ‘be’.

That’s me, in a pretty big nut shell

….I’m wondering about you too,?about your book actually. Is it just on your blog as you go or is it all in one place tucked away for people like me to read all in one swoop? If you haven’t chosen a cover yet, I like option B or C.  :)

Also, I noticed you have the map showing where your readers are; which one were you most excited to see? Not surprised, but excited…. I’m not implying you don’t know the difference just that they can be mistaken for the same emotion.

Oh! and thanks for answering my question so speedily and meaning it.  I agree dating  is a pretty universal topic but the way you write about it is what makes your take worth reading.
