I’d like to go to a party like this. Where all my girlfriends get really dressed up and then we eat cake and buy shoes and dress up our puppies like Marie Antoinette.  This may also be because I haven’t done anything super fancy (with the exception of dinner with Jared) in a while and love doing it. :)

ihearty0u asked: i know youre in south korea right now and youre missing your man……im the opposite right now, im here and im missing my man, whos also in south korea! i just got my plane ticket to go see him this summer and im SO excited! congrats on reuniting with your love :) im sure he was just as thrilled as you were.

Yes, I am missing him but it was great to have him here… and it sounds like you feel the same.  I hear the summer in Korea is a great time to visit, you two will have a blast.  Prepare yourself for the leaving part, it really sucks :/

I’m sure he will have things planned for you but if you’re interested you two should visit Cheonggyecheon Stream, it’s just a nice walk. It never closes so you can walk the stream at any time of the night.  The Big Guy and I walked it on his last day in Seoul around midnight and it was probably nicer at that time than if we had gone when all kinds of people were around.  I would love to walk in during the day though when the sun is shining :)

Also we had dinner at for our anniversary at N. Seoul Tower and it was fantastic.  It’s a little expensive but for the view and the experience of being up there it’s nice.  It’s very couple-y so if you and your army boy aren’t into that, steal clear ;)  We even saw a girl get proposed to there- or she was getting a ‘couples ring’ who knows… either way a fancy dinner.

Hang in there, the summer is not far away :)

dearjesus asked: Hi :) I’ve been following your blog for a while now and I love it, so much! You are the cutest thing I have ever seen. Also, since you’re in Korea and you said you wouldn’t mind sending postcards, then maybe you wouldn’t mind recieving them either? I’m in Belgium right now and I think it would be neat to have a pen pal close by. Just a thought :)

Thank you for this!  I woke up to it and it made the morning that much better.  I definitely wouldn’t mind getting post cards, I adore them.  Who doesn’t like getting fun mail?  I’m rather flattered, I’ll return the favor for sure:)

Le Crepe Book, don’t mind if I do.  I imagine them being rather difficult to make though, perhaps I’ll try one out.  If you’re in Chicago on a nice day you should try La Creperie at Clark and Surf- sit on the patio it’s darling out there.

Speaking of letters, I was looking around design is mine and this mysterious letters project gave me goose bumps it’s so sweet :)
“In April 2009, we sent a personal, handwritten letter to each of the 467 households in the small Irish village of Cushendall. We hoped these unsolicited letters would prompt neighbourly discussion, spreading across the town, promoting community curiosity. In November 2009, we sent another bundle of letters, this time 620, to each home in Polish Hill, Pittsburgh, USA.”
If any of you would like an international letter/post card send me your address, I’d be happy to send you one :)

The best picture of the LOVE sculpture didn’t have us in it.  Ha Ha :)  We got some other good ones while the Big Guy was visiting- I’ll post them soon enough.

It’s incredibly easy in Korea to eat fruits and vegetables at any time.  There are fruit and vegetable stands on nearly every corner so there are tons of opportunities to pick up what you need.  Most of the time I buy my goodies, snack on them while I’m out or take them home and cook them up.  It’s delicious and rather healthy.
Emily has been blogging about her journeys of eating raw and I’ve become more interested since being in Korea.  I’ve been following along here and there and I have decided that I’m going to try it*- mainly due to how easy it is here.  I feel like I should take advantage of the abundance of cheap raw food while I have the opportunity. I’m going to start by replacing 1 meal a day with a raw meal and move on from there.  If I can handle it, I’ll replace 2 meals.
From time to time I’ll update on my progress but I don’t expect it to be anything great until I can replace 2 meals.  Wish me luck on getting even to that point. :)  If you all have meal suggestions, ways to get around cravings, how to replace coffee, personal experiences- I would love to hear them.
*Since peanut butter, ribs, hot wings, crackers, and ice cream hold a special place in my heart I will probably never replace all 3 meals (or my snacks).

Good call!  I think letters are the best… Nothing beats written sentiments, even if they are feelings of hatred.  Ha Ha. I love my cell phone company right now for removing a $200 fee someone else incurred but I hope you have luck with yours.
meowism:

I have written 3 letters so far. After an over the top cellphone bill, I decided the old fashioned “letter writing as means of communication” was for me again. (No, I didn’t give up my cellphone.)
If you’d like a letter, (even if we have never met) e-mail me at skipundercover@verizon.net. There are quite a few of you I’d love to hear from!

GPOYW: The Big Guy and I boot goofin edition.  We were trying to take a picture in front of the mini Robert Indiana LOVE sculpture but telling someone in another language to “hold the button down” is rather difficult.  ;)
